Over spring break we get to
spend a number of days: paint touch-up, bathroom cabinet and
furniture assembly, cabinet pulls--odds-n-ends get done; we are close,
very close to having the inside done.

Neighbor Laura and
her husband, both deeply into work on their beautiful home a few lots down
the road, stop by to see our progress. Unlike us, they know how to
do most of the work themselves.

These bathroom
cabinets from Mill's Pride were the only do-it-yourself assembly not from
IKEA, which just didn't have the scale or look we wanted for the bathroom.
Much of the assembly hardware and methods were identical to IKEA's.

I throw this last
photo in, despite its poor clarity, because of its content:
When we took a lunch break on the porch one day, we watched two adult and
one yearling bald eagle waddling awkwardy on the few remaining slips of
ice--chowing on fish.
